While it’s not nearly as good as it was hyped to be, at least not yet, you can now use the Assistant button on your controller to talk to Google while you’re playing.
Eventually, the Assistant will know what game you’re playing and can offer contextual help to go with it, but for now it’s pretty simple and those types of commands won’t work. When you can hit the button and say things like “how do I open that door?”, it’ll be pretty sweet.
Also, the assistant only works right now when you’re playing on a TV via Chromecast. Presumably that functionality will come to mobile and desktop gaming soon.
While Stadia has been a little slow to implement some of their more-hyped features, it’s nice to see them continue to make steady progress like this.
