The promise of Stadia is amazing; as long as you have a solid internet connection, you can run it on almost any device.
But what happens if you try it on a five-year old, pitiful Chromebook? That’s what I just did, and the results were surprisingly good. I ran it on an Acer Chromebook 11 (CB3-111-C8UB) — it came out in 2014, has 2GB RAM and runs on a Celeron chip. If you just need to check your email and browse the web, it’s fine for that. For gaming? That sounds crazy.
Crazy or not, it works quite well! I wouldn’t recommend it as your only machine, but it really does a pretty good job. Here is a quick video I just shot that shows how RDR2 runs on it.
